Mechanical control of vegetation is an important part of ranch management. For those who don’t have the equipment or the time, it can also present a formidable challenge. Maintaining meadows through either haying or shredding is necessary to keep the fields open and productive. Trails also need to be mowed to keep them fully visible to ATV riders as an unexpected hole or rut hidden by the deep grass could result in an injury.
