Buck Ridge Ranch is a beautiful 160-acre property located approximately two miles north of Gerty, Oklahoma, and about two hours from either OKC or the DFW Metro.  The southwest corner of the property is less than 1250 feet from a quiet paved road, making access easy for even those who aren't used to gravel roads.  Characterized by its natural beauty and unique changes in scenery, this property offers the outdoorsman a great place to go after big bucks and also offers several possibilities for those looking to build a home or cabin.  

As you enter from the gated southeastern corner, you're immediately greeted by a nice drive that cuts across the property from north to south. Traveling up this path, you'll see a nice stand of hardwoods to the west as you approach a large open area that lies in the northeastern quadrant. This area, combined with the other open areas on the property, offers approximately 100 total acres of pasture.  We think it would make a great building spot for those looking for privacy, or a great place to set up food plots given the class 2 and 3 soils present.  

Moving westward, you get into the more timber-laden areas of the property.  The irregular edge of the timber provides the outdoorsman with almost limitless possibilities when it comes to game management as food plots and feeders could be tucked into multiple secluded spots.  The two larger ponds, located on the eastern and western sides of the property, allow for plenty of water for wildlife and could serve as water sources for a cattle operation.  We've also found some great topo for building a larger pond along the 2300 feet of wet weather creek that runs through the property.  This would be a great spot to build a deep, two-acre pond that would capture water from the steep slopes above it.  This drainage area encompasses much of the 120 feet in elevation change that Buck Ridge Ranch offers, but is clearly an area that isn't just beautiful-it's the perfect corridor for wildlife on the property.  In addition, this would be a gorgeous place to hike down and just enjoy the beauty of the clear water running from the ridge down the drainages to the pasture below.  

Buck Ridge Ranch is aptly named-the owners have consistently caught large shooters on trailcam that any outdoorsman would be happy to take home at the end of a long day.  Given the varied makeup of the ranch's hardwoods, either bowhunting or traditional rifle setups would be easy after you've come up with your game management strategy.  But this is not simply a one-dimensional hunting ranch, there are plenty of opportunities for raising cattle, horses or other livestock.  In short, its one of those great Oklahoma properties that have a nice mixture of features that allow you a lot of flexibility in your future use and enjoyment of it.  For more information or to schedule a showing, please call Sean Childress at 580 320 5791.
